Finding beauty and purpose

Syrian refugee women turn embroidery into hope, healing, and income for their families.
The embroidery project is part of the ILC – International Learning Center – of Love for the Least in Domiz and Gawelyn Refugee camps. There are over 100 ladies involved. The ladies receive from $50.00+ for a piece of embroidery that has been accepted for sale in the U.S. Your purchase of an embroidery piece helps to re-fill the “coffer” so it is possible to buy more pieces in the future.
In the Domiz and Gawelyn Refugee Camps, many Syrian women have faced loss, displacement, and the challenges of rebuilding life far from home. Yet even in the hardest places, God’s light is shining through their faith and perseverance. For some, choosing to follow Christ has come with great personal risk — but through prayer, fellowship, and the work of their hands, they’ve found comfort, courage, and a renewed sense of hope. Each embroidery piece they create tells a story of grace, resilience, and quiet strength.
Through the International Learning Center (ILC) of Love for the Least, this embroidery project offers a safe and supportive space for women to gather, learn, and create together. Their beautiful handwork not only helps provide for their families, but also reminds them that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten. Every purchase helps sustain this ministry and extends Christ’s love to those who need it most — one stitch at a time.
